Megafest 7.2
Megafest 7.2 is scheduled around New Year's Day 2009 at monarch.festing.org. Early planning proposed holding the Megafest at The Republic of Haven, but more recently the proposal was floated to hold the Megafest in Colorado instead, prompting Jaeger to consider the merits of acquiring a larger television[1] and retrofitting the basement[2] to make it more suitable for Festing.

Schedule
Jaeger and Kiesa are returning from Portland on Frontier flight 798 on the evening of Monday, 29 December 2008. Their flight is scheduled to land in Denver at 23:45. Festors who wish to flee their relatives and arrive on Monday may do so through the garage door code (contact Jaeger for details). The main events will begin on Tuesday, 30 December and run through Sunday, 4 January 2009.
There is no specific schedule yet for events taking place during the Megafest. There will likely be some sort of New Year's Eve celebration, details to be determined.
New Belgium Brewery Tour
New Belgium Brewery, one of Colorado's better-marketed craft brewers, is located not far from the Megafesting venue in nearby Fort Collins. (45 minutes, according to Google.) They offer tours and tasting and are open on Wednesday and Friday (one-hour tours every half hour from 13:00 to 15:30) and Saturday (one-hour tours every half hour from 11:00 to 15:00) during the Megafest. The tentative plan includes attending the tour around mid-day on Wednesday.
Movie Voting
For this Megafest, we used the newer style of movie voting that calls for single-night voting. Each Festor gets one nomination only, and Festors vote on movies only for that night.

Movies
Jaeger is keeping notes to himself on movies that might be amusing Megafest movies. Other Festors are invited to mention movies below.
- Silly, but amusing. Probably better late at night, especially while intoxicated. Jaeger's review
- A comic parody of the "buddy cop" movie genre, with plenty of action to go around.
- Zombies in London. What more could you ask for?
- Euro-fu action movie. Plenty of great stunts with a bit of prescient social commentary on abandoned social classes in Paris. Co-written by The Fifth Element writer-director Luc Besson. Features the upstart martial art Parkour.

- This movie reminds me of a more contemporary, British version of Arsenic and Old Lace. I thought it was lots of fun to watch. Rowan Atkinson is in it but he is not playing a Mr. Bean type character.

Breakfast
Kiesa: Blueberry Buckle This is not exactly the same as what was served but it's a better version. To get the same topping as the Fest topping, leave out the powdered sugar mixture and instead combine 3/4 cup old-fashioned oats, 1/3 cup brown sugar, 1/2 tsp cinnamon, 1/4 tsp salt, 2 tbs melted butter, and 1/4 cup chopped pecans. Jaeger thinks the original recipe is better.
