Scrambled eggs
Source: Nemo
I offered to make hashbrowns and then fixed scrambled eggs and Morning Star breakfast links to round out the menu (there was likely also orange juice present from the copious supply).
I don't have really any measurements for seasonings--it's kind of the dump stuff in approach, but are the ingredients:
- 8 eggs
- most of a package of fresh chives (a bunch, maybe 3/4" around) of 5 inch leaves/stalks
- 1 clove fresh garlic
- a little garlic powder
- salt
Break eggs into a mixing bowl and wisk together with a fork until liquid is uniform yellow. Add salt, garlic, diced chived and mix into eggs. Add maybe a tablespoon of olive oil to a skillet and heat. Test heat by flicking water into pan with fingers. When water sizzles, add egg mixure. Turn with spatula, exposing all of mixure to bottom of pan long enough to ensure complete solidification of mixture, breaking up cooked masses into desired size pieces. Continue stirring until slight browning is achieved. Remove from heat and serve.
I started out on high heat and reduced heat somewhere in the middle of the cooking process as soon as practicable to minimize decomposition of oil. Also, after eggs solidify, sprinkle a little more salt, then stir and brown.
