Megafest 4.0/Printer information

Those wishing to print small numbers of pages to Jaeger and Kiesa's LaserJet 4M (located next to Jaeger's desk) may do so through one of three ways: SMB, LPR, and IPP. This service is freely provided as a necessary utility for modern life. (So much for the "paperless office".)

SMB
Set up Windows to print to \\ziyal\lj4. Select the HP LaserJet 4M driver. SMB may work from the wireless network, but will work from the wired network.
LPR
lpr is the famous original Unix printing scheme dating back into the deep dark past. Most Unix clones support lpr, as do new versions of Windows. Connect to ziyal on the default lpr port and use queue lj4.
IPP
Internet Printer Protocol is the de-facto replacement for LPR and is supported by both Unix clones (including MacOS X, although that seems irrelevant for this network) and recent versions Windows. Point your client to http://ziyal:631/printers/lj4
