Portico is Jaeger's primary workstation, a Dell Latitude D830.
History
Upon surrendering Darnassus while leaving his employer, Jaeger resumed using Illyria as his primary workstation, which proved sub-optimal due to Illyria's age and decreased technical specifications. Jaeger considered various options for acquiring a replacement computer before ultimately deciding to order a new, custom Dell Latitude D830[1]. The computer arrived several days later[2] and Jaeger promptly installed a 64-bit version of Ubuntu, taking advantage of the now-popular x86_64 processors.
Name
Portico is named after Lord Portico, of the House of the Arch, in Neil Gaiman's urban fantasy novel Neverwhere.
