Megafest 7.2 is scheduled around New Year's Day 2009. Early planning proposed holding the Megafest at The Republic of Haven, but more recently the proposal was floated to hold the Megafest at monarch.festing.org instead, prompting Jaeger to consider the merits of acquiring a larger television and retrofitting the basement to make it more suitable for Festing.

Jaeger is keeping notes to himself on movies that might be amusing Megafest movies. Other Festors are invited to mention movies below.
- Silly, but amusing. Probably better late at night, especially while intoxicated. Jaeger's review
- A comic parody of the "buddy cop" movie genre, with plenty of action to go around.
- Zombies in London. What more could you ask for?
