Parking
Our little street is not large enough to support parking except in designated areas as shown:
For loading and unloading, park in the driveway.
(We parked our cars in the driveway for nearly two months until we had the garage sufficiently unpacked to let us park indoors.)
Network
glendale.festing.org is equipped with a wired and wireless network. Both are bridged together. You should be able to plug in, turn on DHCP, and be good to go.
Network: 192.168.7.0/24
Gateway: 192.168.7.1
Nameserver: 192.168.7.1
Wireless network
The wireless access point is prominently located on the bookshelf in the living room, where it offers a good signal to the house. Many of the neighbors also have wireless networks. Index cards identifying the wireless network parameters are available somewhere; or, ask your hosts.
Wired network
Jaeger is exceedingly proud of the network hub in the basement (for further commentary, see [1], if by chance you missed this in the tour). There are wired network ports available in the dining room, on the wireless router sitting on the bookshelf in the living room, behind the entertainment cabinet, and in the office.
Printer
There is Brother DCP-7065DN named "Moist" in the office upstairs. Festors may be able to magically auto-configure the printer; if not, consult your hosts.
AV System
For a summary of the exciting AV system, visit How to use Jaeger's bizarre TV setup.
Recycling and Composting
Jaeger and Kiesa have been corrupted by their presence in Boulder and have initiated a composting program in addition to various recycling. Please see the Megafest Recycling FAQ for more information.
Government
The local government may be best described as a despotic princely state, where Jaeger and Kiesa cede suzerainty to the city, state, and federal governments but wield vast despotic powers to set bedtimes and dictate proper nutrition, as long as certain human-rights constraints are met and the appropriate tribute is paid.
